Introduction:
Saeed Sahil
is a prolific Balochi poet, translator, critic, and writer. He was born in
Karachi in 24 October, 1984. He is illustriously notable in the realm of
Balochi literature for his meritorious contributions. It was 1998, when he initially
embarked on his literary journey. He is keen of poetry and literature since his
childhood. His main literary domains are poetry, criticism, translation, short
story writing. He has written a myriad of literary oeuvres on miscellaneous
topics both prose and poetry including Balochi language script, the art and
techniques of poetry, translation, literary criticism, book reviews, and in
poetry, Ghazals, prose poetry, haikus, as well as poems respectively.
Being
bestowed with a multifaceted knack, Saeed is a master of peerless diction,
wordsmith of spacious imagery, carrying a command on an ample vocabulary. His
emotions woven in words promptly permeate in his readers’ mind and heart,
instigating a turmoil and rumination simultaneously.
He has been indefatigably
working for the promotion and development of his native language Balochi and
literature with an unwavering commitment over 20 years.
He is also
equally proficient in Urdu language. Having written several poetries and
translating a novel into Urdu, Saeed has proven his elan and fervor for Urdu
literature as well.
He has authored 3 splendid books so far which
are:
1. Mehr ‘O Hamrahi [The Love and companionship]
(Balochi Novel of
Ghani Parwaz translated it into Urdu which was published by Khalid Printers in
2013.)
2. Abetke’n Malguzar [The Gloomy Meadow]
(Balochi poetry
book which was published by Ilm O Adab Publisher Urdu Bazar, Karachi in 2018.)
3. Arjale’n Panth [The Diamantine Advice]
(Balochi Quotations Book which was published by Institute of
Balochia in 10 October, 2020.)
Besides
being a writer of par excellence, he is also fervently active in digital world especially
in WhatsApp as an admin of Balochi learning group helping and encouraging numerous
newbie and novice writers to efficiently and effectively learn to read and
write correct Balochi, be acquainted with one’s own history, tradition and
culture.
It is heartening
to see, and harbinger of hope for all of us that, Sahil can still give
tremendous contributions to Balochi language, and keep up such commendable jobs
in future as well.
I wish him
all the best in his unfering literary pursuits ahead.
